Greenwich Tunnel

Greenwich Foot Tunnel under the River Thames, London

Replacing the ferry that had been running since 1676, the Greenwich foot tunnel runs for 1,217 feet under the Thames between Greenwich and Island Gardens. Originally opened in 1902, over 2, 000, 000 white tiles line it’s 11ft diameter walls.
