The Royal
Exchange, London
There
have been three Exchanges built on this site over the years. The first was
finished in 1570 but was burnt down in the Great Fire of 1666, the second
building also burnt down. The present occupier ceased being an Exchange in
1972 when the trading moved to far more modern premises nearby.
