Trafalgar Square Pigeons

Trafalgar Square pigeons

Mayor of London, Ken Livingstone declared war on the famous pigeons of Trafalgar Square in 2003. Having authorised the pedestrianisation of the North end in front of the National Gallery he has tried various ways of getting rid of the pigeons. First he banned the bird seed seller, then he hired a bird of prey to chase the pigeons away. However the pigeons seem to have taken no notice as this shot, taken early in the day in 2004 shows.
