Running since 2001 Nuart showcases the talents of artists working outside the conventional gallery system. Featuring work by artists native to Norway along with renowned international contemporaries with a similar outlook its an event which has given us some stunning work. While work from each artist appears in a central museum location many local walls outside the venue are given up to street artists as well.

To give you a flavour of what it's all about pictured below is one piece by each artist present at this years Nuart (pictures courtesy of nuart.no and wallcandy.info). If you follow those links you can see a mass of other photos from the event and even some time lapse videos of the artists at work. If you're interested in picking up some tips and tricks of the trade spend some time looking at the photos and videos of work in progress - they will fill your head with ideas. 

What I  like about the show is that most of the work is done directly onto the walls and that means the work retains much of its impact that can so often be lost when it ends up on a canvas. See it while you can - the whole thing will get buffed when it closes in November.
