Mass disruption was on the cards with thousands of people expected to line the pavements to see Joan Collins polish off the last of the free canapés. Despite the fact I could see Concorde's last flight from anywhere in west London I ended up with a ringside seat basically because my bus home from work goes round the Heathrow perimeter road.
