Trellick Tower – a brutalist icon in Kensal Green, London

Trellick Tower, Kensal Green

The tower containing all the lifts and a plant room is housed on the side of the flats. The building itself was completed in 1972 as the brutalist style was going out of fashion. It was designed by Ernö Goldfinger and was based on the his previous, smaller work – the Balfron Tower in Mudchute, East London
