Burn In Hell Maggie Graffiti Leake Street London

Burn In Hell Maggie (Thatcher) graffiti, Leake Street, London.

Painted within a couple of days of her death this piece in Leake Street with the phrase ‘Burn In Hell Maggie’ contained a pretty common sentiment about ex Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher. It shortly proved too much for the authorities and was painted out due to it’s ‘offensive’ content by rail authorities who own this property. But you can’t paint out an idea. It may have been turned to blank grey but photographs of the piece were widely circulated on the Internet in blogs and newspaper sites.
