The Regal Cinema, Art Deco splendour in Uxbridge

Regal Cinema, Uxbridge, West London

The Regal – former art deco cinema in Uxbridge, now occupied by Liquid nightclub (but I have a feeling that name will change faster than the one above it). Originally opened in December 1931 it was part of a chain that included cinemas with the same name in Marble Arch, Edmonton and West Norwood. It closed as a cinema in 1977 and has since operated as a nightclub. Interestingly its original Compton organ still survives albeit in a glass box inside the venue.
