Design Museum London

Former home of the Design Museum, London

The Design Museum as conceived by Terence Conran originated as part of the Victoria and Albert museum but quickly outgrew its surroundings and moved to  Shad Thames near Tower Bridge in 1989.

It aims to record contemporary design in many fields such as furniture, graphics and industrial design. It’s mission is to provide an understanding of the contemporary world and potentially, make it a better place. It’s since moved again to Kensington.
