The 2008 Serpentine Gallery Pavilion was designed and engineered by Frank Gehry and Arup. It has a seemingly random construction of wood and glass reflecting its diverse inspirations such as Leonardo da Vinci’s catapult sketches and the striped walls of beach huts .
