Summerleaze Footbridge

Summerleaze bridge

Summerleaze footbridge over the River Thames near Dorney Wick.

The bridge was opened on behalf of Summerleaze Limited on the 29th October 1996 by Richard Simmons CBE. The consulting engineers were Richard Irons Associates. The bridge connects Bray on one side of the Thames with Dorney Wick on the other. The footpath at this point appears to go through private land but it is actually part of the Thames Path even though it goes past the end of several gardens. The headway (clearance height) of the bridge at this point is 24 feet and the bridge is of steel construction.
