Banksy Abandon Hope

Banksy – Abandon Hope graffiti on Shoreditch bridge

Banksy Abandon Hope

Shoreditch Bridge over the old Shoreditch stationĀ  was often repurposed by Banksy in the early 2000’s. After the original ‘Have a Nice Day’ cops began to decay the slogan in the middle of the bridge was updated several times.

Abandon Hope (9am – 5pm) would have been seen each day by thousands of commuters making their way to and from work and sums up many peoples attitude to their mundane working life. The slogan itself was on paper and pasted up over the previous versions.
