The Bourdon Street Chippy, a heartfelt homage to the classic British takeaway by Lucy Sparrow

The Bourdon Street Chippy – a felt installation by Lucy Sparrow aka @sewyoursoul. Contains real fish and chip shop takeaway counters but no real ingredients

What better day to post this than Fish and Chip Friday. Here’s a look inside @sewyoursoul ‘s fabulous take on the takeaway, all rendered all in felt. The ‘Bourdon Street Chippy’ has so many details, so many tasty treats on view (but nothing to actually eat)! From the crispy golden cod to the RNLI charity box, it’s great fun to spot all the little details. The chippy is open now (check on times) and free to visit, at the Lyndsey Ingram Gallery, Bourdon Street (nearest tube Bond Street) until 14th September. Have a look at Lucy Sparrow’s introductory Instagram reel here.
