Banksy Space Girl And Bird Deptford
Banksy ‘Space Girl and Bird’ Blur Artwork in Deptford
Banksy produced ideas for Blur’s Think Tank album on the fence panels of a work site in Deptford. Unbeknown to myself at the time, on the reverse of this wall were several more designs – sadly an opportunity missed! This ‘Space Girl and Bird’ was featured on the cover of a Blur CD given away with the Observer magazine.
I also loved the “No Dumpin Somone on site 24 hur” sign too!
Status: Removed and later appeared at auction

Blur Think Tank artwork by Banksy
Banksy’s fame spread further after his ape appeared in a Gorillaz video. He’s since designed the cover for Blur’s album ‘Think Tank’. (This photo is not of the original artwork but instead of a promotional poster in Hounslow). Producing graffiti style adverts in London has one limitation though. Transport for London ban all graffiti related posters on their network.
