RAMS MSK graffiti in Stratford

‘Is that supposed to be there’? ‘How do you even do that’? Some typical questions when seeing RAMS MSK graffiti for the first time. The answer’s are no, it’s not authorised to be there and as to how it’s done it’s by abseiling down the side of the building as you paint (or as the American’s call it ‘rapelling’).

There’s not much of this kind of graffiti in London, with most high work being of the lean over the parapet edge type (sometimes with a roller). This piece really caught my eye on a trip to Stratford, East London. Highly visible, neatly applied at scale, its size and placement is easily seen by anyone leaving the nearby Westfield Shopping Centre.
