Concorde – the last flights into Heathrow

Concorde’s last flight into Heathrow was scheduled for late afternoon on 24th October 2003. Large crowds gathered with the prospect of seeing the iconic plane touch down for the last time.

On the day several Concorde’s were visible, a sight never to be repeated.

The penultimate flight en route to the hangar. After doing a lap of honour of the airport Concorde was then moved across the perimeter road where hundreds struggled to get a view. This crossing has since been completely closed off with the road full incorporated into the airport.

Concorde is still often visible from the Heathrow perimeter road. This photo of Concorde in the snow was taken in Jan 2013 but in 2022 it’s still visible from various locations as its moved around the airport at times..
